How different can a company be?

Vital Statistics Consulting is a virtual first, public health research firm. They work with Federal agencies, state governments, municipalities, public health institutions and private companies to execute extensive research on heath issues that effect the health of our communities and various demographics. They came to us after exiting the startup phase of entrepreneurship and wanted a look and feel that gave validity and authority to their abilities.

After research into their competitive landscape it became clear most of the industry was filled with a sterile generic and educational institution aesthetic. While Vital Statistics Consulting is virtual first, they put their staff and work life balance at the center of their process, empowering them to excel at their jobs. They also align projects with the specific individuals that are most knowledgable about the projects. The way to capture this dynamic and fluid ideology was with an equally fluid and dynamic modification to a statistical model rendering, the heat map.

Since the brand image has a very fluid and organic feel, it was important the logo be more structured. Yet we wanted the logo to be approachable and unique to this company and industry. It should look at home within the competitive landscape but be the approachable new smart kid on the block. We created a special graphical icon with a hidden V and S to make it a uniquely ownable asset to Vital Statistics Consulting.

As part of their marketing strategy, Vital Statistics Consulting provides three communication channels as business to business marketing, reaching various demographics of potential clients. A podcast called “Unbiased Science” targeting consumers and those wanting education about public health issues. “The Dose” is a periodic newsletter recapping the podcast and other relevant information. Finally “Positive Outcomes” is virtual online seminars and discussions about public health and research best practices.

We also created several template based assets from proposals to power point decks, capability documents, social media assets, and even a website concept. Most were done to help their internal team understand the potential of their new brand assets with the brand image anchoring the aesthetic. This was important to communicate as they are rapidly growing into a destination for public health research.
